Rubble (2020)
An accomplished architect struggles with guilt after hearing that a design flaw in one of his buildings has had deadly consequences.
Rubble came to fruition after I'd generated the central idea for the story, penned the first draft of the script, and pitched the project to my peers at the University of Salford. After the pitch, I was pleased to see multiple students get in touch and express an interest in working on the film.

Once the project was green-lit, I took it upon myself to conduct further research into the story's subject matter, in order to make the drafts of the script that followed more well-informed. Feel free to peruse my research notes by clicking here.
A short-film created by a crew of university students, including myself as writer/director, Rubble was entirely conceived, written, and produced, safely and responsibly, within the UK during the second national Covid-19 lockdown.

The project was made possible via a fundraising campaign on the crowd-funding website GoFundMe and, thanks to many generous donations from the general public, we were able to meet and exceed our target and begin production in late-November 2020.

The film was completed in January and publicly screened, for the first time, at The Festival of Short Film (FOSF) on 26th January 2021.
