Throughout history, the human race has always possessed an innate desire to tell stories, and there is perhaps no better arena in which to do so than the medium of film. Unlike most other art forms, film is uniquely vast and far-reaching. For example, in traditional literature, the reader's consumption and enjoyment is directly affected by the language in which it is written and the reader's understanding and comprehension of said language.

Conversely, there have been countless foreign-language films that have proved to be successful the world over. This is precisely because, due to cinema's inherent foregrounding of the visual, an intriguing story which is adroitly conveyed via the means of motion picture can transcend the boundaries of language and resonate emotionally with any audience member. 

I have always been fascinated with the art of cinema and the way in which stories are told through a visual medium, ergo once I became old enough to fully grasp that screenwriters are the architects tasked with designing and conveying the expressive, enveloping, and enduring stories we as a species have always yearned to tell, my wide-eyed aspirations of becoming a top-level professional footballer were immediately supplanted.

And so, fast-forwarding to the present day, I am currently an aspiring screenwriter, who's recently finished studying a BA (Hons) in Film Production at the University of Salford. After graduating with First Class honours, I am now endeavouring to identify ways in which I can ameliorate my writing capabilities and develop my creative voice. On this website you should be able to find and view a variety of works I have written. As I have previously alluded to, I firmly believe film should be accessible to and enjoyed by people of all backgrounds, so any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
