Sausage & Chips (2022)
A local chippy owner, Herman, isolates himself as he mourns the absence of his late son. Meanwhile, his wife forges an unhealthy surrogate relationship with his employee.
Sausage & Chips is a 15-minute drama which served as the final film project I made while studying Film Production at the University of Salford.

In order to challenge myself and broaden my understanding of other roles, rather than writing or directing this project, I acted as Producer on the film. Although, I did receive a 'Story by' credit for the contributions I made during story development meetings in pre-production with my good friends Aleshya Easen (Director) and Reagan Rudlinton (Writer).

The film follows chippy owner, Herman, and his wife, Elaine, who are separately grieving over their late son. The kitchen assistant, Charlie, unknowingly becomes subject to a surrogate relationship formed by Elaine as her way of coping. After recognising their unhealthy methods, Herman and Elaine finally begin to come together and grieve as a couple.

The project was funded via donations received on the crowd-funding website IndieGoGo. Production for Sausage & Chips began in late-April 2022 and, on 2nd June 2022, the film, along with a special selection of six other student shorts, premiered at a public screening hosted by 3Quarter Pictures (in association with the University of Salford) at the Niamos Radical Arts & Culture Centre, Hulme, Manchester.
